Hector Montao and Ronaldo Sifuentes founded the underground Mexican hip-hop group Babo Cartel de Santa, which is based in Santa Catarina, Nuevo León, Mexico. Mr. Eduardo Davalos de Luna, also known as MC Babo or Babo (lead vocals), DJ Agustin (only during live performances), and Rowan Rabia make up this trio (beat artist).

Cartel de Santa controversy

MC Babo handed himself up on April 27, 2007, allegedly telling Mexican police officials that while performing in the band, he unintentionally shot and killed another band member. In order to settle a disagreement with him, MC Babo discovered that a former opponent was travelling to the house where he was living in Santa Catarina, Nuevo León. Juan Miguel Chavez Pimentel, often known as El Micky, was shot in the leg after he arrived on the scene.

Ulises “Buenrostro,” according to Babo, was killed when one of the rounds from his pistol ricocheted off the ground and struck him. Babo served nine months in prison before being freed in January 2008 after posting a bond of approximately 130,000 pesos ($1,500).
