The Weekend Away is that the newest thriller to arrive on Netflix. Based on the novel by Sarah Alderson, the film focuses on the disappearance and demise of a fille, Kate, while on holiday in Croatia. The Weekend Away Release Date And Plot
The Movie release on Netflix on 3rd March 2022, Thursday. It is starring Christina Wolfe and Leighton Meester. The story of the movie is about weekend getaway to Croatia. It gose horrible thriller for Kate and Beth.
When Kate mysteriously disappears, Beth is accused of killing her. It is with only a fuzzy memory of the night in question, she must do all she will be able to to piece together. So what happened to Kate, uncovering quite she bargains for within the process.
The Weekend Away’s Ending Explained
When Beth first realises that Kate is missing, she reports her disappearance to the police. It’s here where we’re first introduced to Pavic. He is a grumpy officer who contains a suspicious look on his face when he’s first shown Kate’s picture. As the film progresses, Beth attempts to piece together the events leading up to Kate’s disappearance. She begins to suspect that Pavic had something to try and do with it.
The Weekend Away culminates in an exceedingly rip-roaring chase scene through the town of Split. It is ending during a rooftop stand-off as Beth accuses Pavic of killing Kate. Believing that he killed her after she rejected his sexual advances. Pavic is incensed but before he can answer, the peace officer slips from the roof and falls to his death. We learn from Pavic’s colleague, Officer Kovac, that he had indeed made a pass at Kate. Also it was rejected while CCTV shows a person loosely fitting Pavic’s appearance. By downing the seafront with Kate on the night of her death.
It is also revealed that Pavic had history as several women he arrested for sex. The past accused him of assault, but he was never punished. However, despite believing that the case is all committed, The Weekend Away has one final twist up its sleeve.
Who Killed Kate?
Despite being led to believe that it had been the law officer Pavic who killed Kate. The 000 killer is really Beth’s boyfriend, Rob. When Beth returns home after the ordeal in Croatia, she reunites together with her boyfriend Rob. Then makes an alarming discovery, she finds a chunk of Kate’s jewellery in Rob’s jacket pocket. Therefore the whole case becomes clear. When Beth confronts Rob about Kate, he admits that he secretly travelled to Croatia to work out her. It’s here we learn that the CCTV footage actually showed Rob and not Officer Pavic.
What Rob fails to say to Beth is that he and Kate had been having an affair. But when Kate told him that their fling meant nothing. He grew angry at her and lashed out. He knocked Kate to the ground where she banged her head before slipping into the ocean and dying. It looks for a flash that Beth could fall victim to Rob herself. But she fights him off and escapes the house as police cars converge on the scene.
